Magic tree of life

canvas, mixed media, 100x140 cm, 2020

On this canvas, the Tree of Life unfolds as a powerful symbol of the Universe — a sacred axis connecting the sky, the earth, and the underworld. It unites these realms in a harmonious cycle, channeling ancient natural energy and bridging the present with the ancestral, to preserve the eternal rhythm of life. On either side of the tree stand two celestial forces: the Sun and the Moon, each radiating its own power. The Sun, shining on one side, brings warmth, vitality, and illumination — a source of life and constant renewal. The Moon, glowing on the opposite side, embodies the rhythms of time, intuition, and reflection. Together, they create cosmic balance, guiding the flow between light and shadow, action and contemplation. Hovering near the branches are birds, a sacred messenger between heaven and earth. In Pre-Columbian cultures, birds held deep spiritual meaning — mediators between the human and divine, symbols of transcendence and the soul’s journey. The turquoise hue of its feathers — a blend of sky-blue and earth-green — evokes clarity, protection, and harmony between realms. Considered sacred, turquoise connected beings to the spirit world and ancestral wisdom. At the tree’s base, primordial waters flow, giving rise to a blooming water lily — a symbol of origin and purity. From these deep waters, the lily emerges as a sign of creation and inner awakening. Among the currents, fish swim silently, bearing the mystery, wisdom, and unbroken cycles of life. This painting is a symbolic journey — where each element, from the bird to the waters, from Sun to Moon, is part of a living, sacred tapestry that unites the visible world with the spiritual one.
